The old fiddle block and its new replacement. I feel much better now that it’s replaced.

Done so far

  • lots of cleaning and the removal of some old netting and other items from previous owners
  • port rail scraped, sanded and sealed with 3 coats of Cetol
  • starboard rail scraped, sanded and sealed with 2 coats of Cetol
  • 2 rails above the cabin, the teak above the transom and the hatch cover scraped, sanded and sealed with 3 coats of Cetol
  • combing scraped
  • new flag made and hung
  • old marine head removed and through-hull sealed
  • new portable head installed
  • old curtains removed
  • door by the head removed
  • new drawer pull hangers for curtains sealed with 2 coats of Cetol and installed (there were 25)
  • new curtains sewn
  • anchor brace installed
  • new tigerwood dodger blocks fabricated and sealed with 1 coat of Cetol
  • some interior trim cleaned and sealed with 2 coats of Cetol
  • electrical wring traced, excess wiring removed, some wiring recapped and taped
  • solar battery charger installed
  • solar deck light installed
  • new screws for stanchions
  • replace some interior screws with brass screws
  • new windex installed
